Road Division

Keeping the Community Safe is the goal of the Road Division. Deputies patrol a total of 637 square miles in Trumbull County, providing law enforcement services and assisting citizens to over 196,000 residents in 26 townships. Road Deputies work 365 days a year, providing the highest level of service and protection, in order to prevent crime and preserve peace. This is done by conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards.

Civil Division

This division of the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office is responsible for the transportation of inmates to and from various correctional institutions and courts. The civil division also processes and serves all court documents including indictments, subpoenas, summons and complaints, writs of possession and executions. They are also responsible for the sale of foreclosed real estate and property at the Sheriff's sale. The civil division transports probated individuals as directed by the Trumbull County Probate Court.

Court Security Division
This division of the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office is responsible for all security measures in the Common Pleas Court building. They work with the Sheriff's Civil Division to provide courtroom security during all proceedings. Security measures include the screening of all court visitors through the use of a metal detector.

Investigative Division

The primary responsibility of the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office Investigative Division is the investigation of crimes of violence, theft, narcotics and internal affairs. This unit operates on a limited case by case basis when called upon and works closely with our regional TAG unit.
The Investigative Division also operates as a limited forensic/crime scene unit which is dispatched to scenes of crimes where suspicious activity involving death has occured.

Records Section
Files located at this facility include all inmate records, incident reports (for the last 5 years), and accident reports (for the last 2 years). We do expungements (court ordered only). records checks, and all court requests for records from this facility. All investigative files are kept at the offices of the Investigative Division for security as well as legal purposes.

Sorn Registration / Sex Offender Division
The primary responsibility of the Trumbull County Sheriffs Office SORN Division is the registration and compliance of sex offenders released back into the community. By law, sex offenders who are ordered by the court, must register their current residence and working address whenever they move into or out of our community. Based on the established criteria, this division determines proper placement and compliance with state law and follows up on any violations that are brought to its attention.
If you have a violation concern relative to a sex offender living in your neighborhood please contact this unit for further investigation.
